[ zines ] Trans Kid Zine The Trans Kid Zine was created by transgender kids between 10 and 14. All of the contributors are part of the Trans Youth Equality Foundation (Portland, Maine) a foundation helping transgender kids and their families. Tales of Mental Illness Currently in production, this zine is by a young man in Bangor, Maine whose journey through mental institutions, diagnoses, and medications began at age 11. He speaks about aggressive practices in children's mental institutions, paranoia and hearing voices, and his own journey to self-realization. Sprout Sprout is a youth-run literary journal from Portland, Maine. The
